Kargil: A two-day school safety program concluded today at Jawaha Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Khumbathang, Kargil in which 13th Bn NDRF, Ludhiana imparted training on basic Disaster Management to teaching, non-teaching and students.

The program was conducted by 13th Bn NDRF, Ludhiana in collaboration with DDMA Kargil and JNV Khumbathang Kargil.
On the concluding day, training was imparted to students by master trainer Hawalder Pawan Kumar and his team regarding first aid, bandaging, CPR, lifting of victims etc.
Later, a separate session was conducted for doubt clearance.
Assistant Commandant, 13th Bn NDRF Ranjeet Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. Principal JNV Kargil besides teaching, non-teaching staff of JNV, DDMA officials, more than 400 students also attended the program.

JNV Kargil lauded the effort of Chairman DDMA (Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil)) for organizing this program there and also thanked Assistant Commandant 13th Bn NDRF Ludhiana for imparting such training to students for enhancing the capacity of local community in future.
