Leh: Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Khaltse sub-division with the Run for Unity and National Unity Pledge events organised at schools and various departmental offices.
The Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Khaltse, Tsering Dolkar organised ‘Run for Unity’ at various schools of Khaltse zone on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), as per the direction of the Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, UT Ladakh.
Accordingly, at Govt Higher Secondary School, Khaltse a Run for Unity and pledge-taking ceremony was organised by the Principal, GHSS Khaltse, in which the students and the teaching staff participated.
At the Tehsil office, Khaltse National Unity Pledge was administered to all the staff in the presence of Naib Tehsildar, Khaltse, Mohd Yousuf to mark the celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
Similarly, at the Community Health Center (CHC) Khaltse, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was observed to mark the 146th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and a pledge-taking ceremony was organised.
