After parents raise issues, EC Tsering Angchuk visits DPS campus

Leh: Consequent to receiving complaints from various delegations to the Hill Council, Leh regarding several issues at the Delhi Public School (DPS), Leh, the Dy Chairman/EC Education, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk paid a visit to the school premises. He was accompanied by the Chief Education Officer Leh, Tehsildar Leh, and the Private Secretary to the Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh.

Dy Chairman Angchuk met with the officials of the school administration led by the Principal, DPS Leh, and took stock of the current situation of the status of grievances being raised by the parents as well as the teachers to date. He also had a separate meeting cum interaction with the parents and the teachers where he listened to their grievances.

It was brought to the knowledge of the Dy Chairman that several loopholes have been identified within the school administrative functioning which was also reviewed by the District Administration, Leh earlier and strict instructions have been passed on to the school administration to exercise way out within the given timeline in addressing the issues raised by the parents and the teachers of DPS Leh.

After a thorough examination of the issues and interaction with the concerned officials, teachers, and parents, Dy Chairman assured to look into the matter for further actions as discussed during the meeting. He further advised the teachers to resume their duties so that students do not suffer academic losses
