Ladakh, November 4, 2025:
Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Fire and Fury Corps, visited the remote border areas of Demchok and Chumar sectors in eastern Ladakh to review the operational preparedness of forward-deployed formations.
During the visit, the Corps Commander was briefed on the current security situation and the measures in place to ensure sustained readiness along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
Lt Gen Bhalla commended the troops for maintaining high levels of operational alertness and professionalism despite the challenging terrain and harsh weather conditions. He also lauded their unwavering dedication to safeguarding the nation’s frontiers under extreme conditions.
Encouraging the troops, the GOC emphasized the need to leverage modern technology, adopt innovative tactics, and pursue continuous training to enhance combat effectiveness and mission preparedness.
