Leh, August 5: In a move to strengthen digital governance and ensure faster delivery of citizen services, the General Administration Department (GAD), UT Ladakh, in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Ladakh, conducted a training programme on the Public Services and Auto Appeal System under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act, 2011.
The training focused on familiarising officials with the online Auto Appeal System, integrated with the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) Single Window Portal, to promote transparent, accountable and time-bound public service delivery.
The session was attended by Secretary, GAD, Rudra P. T. Goud, along with officers from the Revenue, Rural Development, Public Works, Agriculture, Horticulture, Municipal Committee, Legal Metrology, State Taxes, Fire and Rescue Services, Cooperative Department and other line departments.
Technical experts from NIC Ladakh, Stanzin Sedol and Shaukat Ali, demonstrated the portal’s complete workflow, including online application processing, appeal filing, video-conference hearings, order generation, email notifications, appeal tracking and timeline-based escalation of pending cases.
The officials were also briefed on the distinction between regular appeals and auto-generated appeals initiated when notified service delivery timelines expire, a mechanism aimed at improving efficiency and accountability in government service delivery.
During the interactive session, participants discussed integration of department-specific services, online processing of applications and the transition of offline services to the digital platform.
Addressing the gathering, Secretary GAD Rudra P. T. Goud stressed the need for all departments to integrate their notified services with the EoDB Single Window Portal, minimise manual interventions and strengthen citizen-centric governance through the effective implementation of the Auto Appeal System. He also directed departments to work closely with NIC Ladakh to resolve technical issues and ensure timely disposal of applications and appeals.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion, with NIC officials assuring continued technical support for the successful implementation of the Auto Appeal System across all departments in the Union Territory.
