Leh, September 9:
Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, today felicitated two courageous personnel of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in recognition of their outstanding bravery and dedicated service.
Certificates of Appreciation were presented to Major Ajay Kumar Chand, Officer Commanding 114 RCC, and Dvr. Patil Umesh Bhagwan, BRO, for their extraordinary courage and remarkable presence of mind during a life-threatening incident on 20th July 2025 along the Nimmu–Padum–Darcha road.
Their swift and selfless actions ensured the safe evacuation of Hon’ble CEC and his security personnel from imminent danger.
On the occasion, the Hon’ble CEC lauded their exemplary courage, unwavering devotion to duty, and invaluable service to the people of Ladakh.
