Leh: Ladakh Police has reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a fair, transparent and technology-driven recruitment process for 40 Sub-Inspector posts, with a total of 7,028 candidates applying from across the Union Territory.

According to the Ladakh Police Subordinate Service Recruitment Board, the recruitment process incorporates advanced technology and multiple verification mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability.

These include biometric verification, digital height and chest measurements, RFID chip-based timing for endurance races, and comprehensive CCTV surveillance at every stage of the recruitment process. An Independent Observer nominated by the General Administration Department (GAD), Ladakh, is also overseeing the proceedings at the NDS Stadium.

The Recruitment Board stated that candidates who qualify the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) will be eligible to appear for the written examination, following which the final merit list will be prepared in accordance with the prescribed recruitment rules.

The Board has urged candidates and the general public not to fall prey to individuals claiming to influence the recruitment process or demanding money in exchange for selection.

It also appealed to candidates to ignore rumours and misinformation, stating that all official information regarding the recruitment process will be communicated only through the authorised channels of Ladakh Police.

The PST/PET at the Leh centre has since concluded as per the notified schedule. The recruitment process has now moved to the Kargil centre, where the Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test commenced on August 6.

Ladakh Police reiterated that the recruitment process is objective, transparent and free from external influence, warning that any attempt to mislead candidates, spread misinformation, indulge in impersonation or interfere with the recruitment process will invite strict legal action.
