Leh : A delegation of monks from Drepung Gomang Ngari Khangtsen, led by Ven. Stanzin Paljor, met with Hon’ble Chairman/CEC of LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, to express heartfelt gratitude for his visit to southern monasteries during the winter of 2024 and for his continued welfare initiatives for the monastic community.
The delegation especially appreciated the CEC’s role in facilitating Ayushman Health Cards for monks living in remote southern monasteries. Under his direction, officials were deputed from Leh specifically to carry out the registration process — a move that reflects the administration’s commitment to inclusive healthcare and monastic welfare.
The monks conveyed their deep respect for the CEC’s sincere efforts in supporting the spiritual and cultural fabric of Ladakh, and enhancing social security for monks in far-flung regions.
