Kargil: In his first unannounced visit since taking charge, Rakesh Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and CEO of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, conducted a midnight surprise inspection at the District Hospital Kargil, Kurbathang, on Saturday.
The inspection covered key sections of the hospital including patient wards, emergency services, medical stores, attendant restrooms, and staff attendance records. The objective was to assess the availability, efficiency, and quality of services being provided during late-night hours.
During his interaction with the on-duty hospital staff, DC Rakesh Kumar stressed the importance of punctuality, sincerity, and a strong sense of duty, especially in critical sectors such as healthcare.
He further warned that surprise inspections may be conducted at any government institution moving forward, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to accountability and efficient public service delivery.
“The welfare of the people remains our top priority. Every government employee must ensure that essential services are delivered efficiently, round the clock,” the Deputy Commissioner stated.
