Kargil: Noted Ladakhi politician and well known social activist Sajjad Kargili has hailed the recent announcement of rolling out gazetted level recruitments in the Union Territory.
While expressing his gratitude to Chief Secretary Pawan Kotwal, Sajad has called for acceleration of the recruitment process.
“The recent initiative to tackle unemployment in Ladakh is a commendable and much-needed step forward. I extend my sincere appreciation to Jenab Prashant Lokhande (JSJKL), Jenab Dr. Pawan Kotwal Ji (Chief Secretary, UT of Ladakh), and Jenab Michael D’Souza Ji (Administrative Secretary, UT of Ladakh) for their dedicated efforts in this regard,” he said
For over six years, thousands of young people in Ladakh have faced prolonged uncertainty, economic hardship, and emotional distress due to the lack of adequate employment opportunities. The persistent unemployment crisis has contributed to growing frustration, disillusionment, and a pervasive sense of stagnation among the region’s youth, he added.
“Given these challenges, I earnestly urge the concerned authorities to accelerate the process and ensure the timely creation and allocation of job opportunities. Swift and decisive action will not only address immediate needs but also restore hope, dignity, and a sense of purpose among Ladakh’s aspiring youth,” he said.
“I remain hopeful that this initiative will translate into concrete and sustainable outcomes, paving the way for a brighter and more prosperous future for Ladakh,” he further said.
