Leh: The scenic Shachukul Monastery in Durbuk Sub-Division is all set to host the Shachukul Kabgyat Festival on July 12th and 13th, 2025. Rooted in the Drikung Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, the annual festival celebrates the teachings of Lord Buddha and honors sacred protectors like Achi Chokyi Dolma and Mahakala.
Held on the 17th and 18th days of the fifth Tibetan month, the festival offers a deep dive into Ladakh’s spiritual and cultural traditions through mesmerizing Cham dances, masked performances, and ritual ceremonies conducted by monastic authorities.
