Kargil: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting to discuss the approved schemes of Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) and reviewed the DPR formulation status and their viability.
DC Kargil stressed that the new proposed infrastructures should be developed in solar passive mode and winter-friendly toilets should be ensured.
While highlighting the importance of the PMJVK scheme, he said that education, health, ICDS, women empowerment and skill development are the priority sectors as per the scheme.
During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on the formulation of PMJVK plan in the district and the concerned officers proposed various projects to be implemented under the said plan.
The DC directed Polytechnic Institute Kargil to submit viability certificate.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned officers to projects for the PMJVK plan while keeping into consideration the local needs and requirements of different areas in the District. He also instructed them to ensure the submission of projects within the stipulated time.
DC Kargil instructed all sectorial offices to prepare relevant DPR/PPR and submit the same at the earliest while ensuring that such proposal does not overlap with existing works under SDP/district plan.
Assistant Commissioner Development Kargil, Chief Planning Officer, DPO Kargil, Assistant Director Handicrafts Kargil, CDPO Shargole and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
