Leh: The administration of Ladakh has decided to provide essential items to consumers on discounted price on the eve of losar and Christmas.

“Cooperative Dept through its various retail outlets in Leh & different blocks will provide essential consumer items on special discounted rates from Dec 17-25 in view of Losar & Christmas,” an official told Indus Dispatch.
“In its continuous endeavor to ensure availability of consumer items and other essential commodities on a nominal rates by the cooperative Department through various Cooperative Society retail outlets especially during festive seasons,” reads the order issued by the department.
As per standing instructions of the UT-administration and LAHDC, Leh , it is to inform the general public of Leh District that Cooperative Department through various Cooperative retail-outlets of the Consumer Cooperative Societies viz Cooperative Superbazar of BamiDunya Consumer Cooperative Society,Leh and other block level consumer Cooperative Societies(Nubra,Khaltse ,Nyoma and Durbuk blocks respectively) will provide consumer items of daily use on special discounted rates from 17th Deember to 25th December,2022 in view of upcoming holy Losar and Christmas festivals respectively,” the order reads.
The order further reads that general public is hereby informed to avail benefits of the special Losar/Christmas discount offer by visiting the nearby Cooperative retail outlets.
