DHARAMSHALA: The Central Tibetan Administration is organising an event to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama getting the Nobel Peace Prize.
On the invitation of the CTA, the officials from Ladakh including Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson along with Member Parliament Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal arrived in Dharamashala this morning.
They were accompanied by Deputy Chairman, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, Tsering Angchuk, and Executive Councillor for Minority Affairs, Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor.
They were received by officials of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) including CRO Ladakh Dhondup Tashi at Kangra Airport today.
His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama was given the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his non-violent campaign over nearly 40 years to end China’s domination of his homeland Tibet.
The Central Tibetan Administration, often referred to as the Tibetan Government-in-Exile, is a non-profit political organization based in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India.
