Kargil: In Ladakh, various organizations are coming out for helping to improve the educational scenario in Kargil district.
RoQs the helping team is a group of some likeminded teachers working in different schools of district Kargil of the UT Ladakh has refurbished the Government Primary School Karkit Haral at the LOC.
The Group painted the whole building with attractive designs and figures to attract the students towards the School and also donated some furniture and sports materials.
While talking to media, Talib Hussain who is one of the volunteer teacher said that the group was formed when some proactive teachers working already in different social working categories realized to make a single platform to share their creativity for the needy students and schools in the region.
The group started working on cultural, social and educational development in schools as well as in community in general in which works like developing schools for young learners, organizing educational events, community mobilization, creating platforms for new talents etc are involved.
He further said that in the year 2021 when the group realised to have a relevant name which may represent its objectives vividly and be accessible to the community, decided to keep RoQs (help in local language) as its title.
RoQs has taken many initiatives as of now and Sunday for Humanity is one them in which they use their free Sundays to work on any one task already decided.
