Kargil: The 12th District Kargil Taekwondo Championship concluded at Indoor Stadium Kargil in which 10 clubs with 150 players participated.
Syed Mehraj Ud Din Shah General Secretary District Kargil Olympic Association was the Chief Guest and Activities Officer DYSSO Kargil, Mohd Yousuf and Anayat Ali, General Secretary Ladakh Taekwondo Association was the Guest of Honour and Head Mistress Government Model Middle School Biathang School Shamma Kazimi was the Special Guest.
Syed Mehraj Uddin Shah the Chief Guest appreciated the role of the Ladakh Taekwondo Association for always working professionally for the promotion of the Sports in every nook and corner of the Union Territory.
He further said that after Ladakh Became UT Sports has a great opportunity as a sector and our players can have a better and bright future if the focus on their respective game.
Mohammad Yousuf Activities Officer DYSSO Kargil assured all possible help by the department during any event organised by the Kargil taekwondo Association.
On this Occasion Syed Mehraj Uddin Shah handed over the Equipments donated by Korean Cultural Centre New Delhi Ladakh Taekwondo Association.
Nissar Hussain Balkhani General Secretary Ladakh Taekwondo Association thanked the Korean Cultural Centre for donating the equipment and adopting two schools for promotion of Taekwondo In the Newly created Union Territory of Ladakh.
Later the Chief Guest and other Guest distributed Medals and Mementoes among the players, Official and Guests.
