Leh, August 17: Ladakh marked the grand culmination of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 with a vibrant patriotic programme at the iconic Sindhu Ghat in Leh, where around 1,200 young participants came together to celebrate the spirit of the Tricolour, national unity and patriotism.
Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism, UT Ladakh, the programme brought together school and college students, specially-abled children, teachers and officials against the picturesque backdrop of the Indus River.
The celebration featured patriotic songs, the National Song and the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere filled with national pride. The Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, School Education Department, EJM College, Nehru Yuva Kendra and District Administration also actively participated in the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Sanjeet Rodrigues, said the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign provides an opportunity to renew the nation’s collective commitment to the values represented by the Tricolour and remember the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and leaders.
As India commemorates 80 years of Independence, Rodrigues urged the younger generation to understand the responsibilities that come with freedom and contribute positively towards nation-building.
He said the Tricolour is not merely a national symbol but represents the shared aspirations, sacrifices, unity and responsibilities of every citizen. He called upon students to uphold the values of unity, mutual respect and service to society.
The event was also attended by senior officials from the Culture, Tourism and Education departments, faculty members of EJM College, teachers and other officials.
With around 1,200 young participants gathered under the Tricolour at Sindhu Ghat, the event brought Ladakh’s Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 to a memorable and patriotic conclusion.
