Kargil:  Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting to review the arrangement ahead of the 7th edition of Ladakh Zanskar Festival 2022 to be held from September 29 to 30.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Additional SP, CPO, SE, PWD, SDM Zanskar, CMO, Chief Agriculture Officer, Accounts Officer to DC, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Deputy Secretary LAACL, ARTO, DPO/AD Information, Principal GDC Zanskar besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.

A threadbare discussion was held on various aspects of the arrangement related to the successful conduct of the two-day festival and various decisions were taken in the meeting.

DC Santosh directed the concerned departments to ensure all arrangements with regard to the festival like security, uninterrupted power, water supply, medical facilities, ambulances, tents, boarding and lodging of participants, conduct of archery exhibitions and stalls of different departments including banks.

Deputy Secretary LAACL requested for vehicles for their department so that they can transport tents and other related equipment to the venue.

During the meeting, the AD Information requested for accommodation of reporters and photographers during the event to which the DC directed Tourism Department to make the arrangement for the same.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner instructed all the concerned officers to put in place adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of cultural and literary programs.
